OUR SERVICES

Sports Massage

Sports Massage Therapy caters to athletes across the spectrum, ranging from elite athletes to casual gym-goers. The techniques employed in sports massage are tailored to the athlete’s chosen sport, concentrating on regions of the body subjected to repetitive and vigorous movements.

Sports Massage Therapy serves as a tool for improving pre-event readiness and minimizing recovery time, thereby maximizing performance during training sessions or following competitions. Athletes have recognised the benefits of specialised sports massage in enhancing flexibility, alleviating fatigue, boosting endurance, reducing injury risks, and priming both body and mind for peak performance.

Wondering if Sports Massage is right for you?

For individuals engaging in consistent physical activity, Sports Massage Therapy is essential to complement to your regular routine. Sports Massage targets the muscle groups primarily utilised in your specific sport or activity, integrating various soft tissue techniques.

If you frequently experience stiffness or muscle fatigue post-exercise, consider incorporating Sports Massage into your overall regimen.

Benefits of Sports Massage:

1. Reduction in Muscle Pain and Tension

2. Enhanced Flexibility and Range of Motion

3. Aid in Tissue Healing and Recovery

4. Diminished Neurological Excitability (Nerves in a More Relaxed State)

5. Enhanced Sport-Specific Performance

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage Therapy is a specialised form of massage therapy focused on assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and dysfunctions. It involves a comprehensive approach to address the root causes of pain, discomfort, and restricted mobility, aiming to restore optimal function and alleviate symptoms. With remedial massage therapy, I will conduct a thorough assessment to identify areas of tension, muscular imbalance, and dysfunction. I use various techniques such as Deep
Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Joint Mobilisation to target specific muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues.

These techniques help to reduce pain, improve flexibility, increase blood circulation, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Remedial Massage Therapy is often recommended for individuals with Chronic Pain Conditions, Sports Injuries, Postural Problems, Repetitive Strain Injuries, and other Musculoskeletal issues. It can also be beneficial as part of rehabilitation programs following surgeries or injuries.

Overall, remedial massage therapy aims to not only alleviate symptoms but also address the underlying causes of Musculoskeletal Issues, promoting long-term healing, recovery, and improved quality of life.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is like a soothing hug for both you and your baby during this special time. It’s a gentle and nurturing experience designed to help ease the aches and pains that often come with pregnancy, while also providing a peaceful moment of relaxation for you to bond with your little one.

As your massage therapist, I will use gentle, flowing strokes and special techniques to alleviate the common discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, swollen ankles, and sore muscles. I ensure that you’re positioned comfortably on the massage table, with pillows supporting your bump and hips for optimal relaxation.

But pregnancy massage isn’t just about physical relief—it’s also about emotional support and connection. It’s a chance for you to take a break from the busyness of preparing for baby and simply focus on nurturing yourself and your growing bond with your little one. So, whether you’re in need of some relief from pregnancy-related discomfort or simply craving a moment of tranquillity, pregnancy massage is a warm and friendly way to pamper yourself and your baby during this magical time.
